Selling roof tiles, paving stones and facing bricks, Benders’ facility in Lithuania is now open. This logistics centre covers the markets of Lithuania, Belarus and Kaliningrad.

Donaldas Zegunis is the manager of the site. An approximately 800 m² large warehouse provides 10,000 m² of storage space. Located on an industrial estate in Klaipėda, Lithuania’s largest port town, the facility mainly handles roof tiles from Benders’ German factory. Accessories and paving stones are supplied from Sweden.

Lithuania has a population of around 3.2 million and the country was long under the influence of Russian rule. However, it has been independent since 1990 and is now seeing the start of major social changes. One of these is increased building of own homes. From the previous use of metal and asbestos sheeting, the trend is increasingly towards roof tiles.
